This project comprised of a full refurbishment scheme to 8 block WC’s and 5 stairwells. The initial programme was for 10 weeks with a 6 week extension. The works were phased to ensure appropriate access to toilet and stairwell facilities.
Prior to the works commencing, we had to consider that the site was live as students and staff members were still in the building. A comprehensive construction phase health and safety plan was produced which incorporated fire and safety procedure tailored to meet the needs of a live college. Furthermore, a risk assessment was produced which gave information to all operatives on what level of risks are attached to each section of work and the necessary control measures to reduce them.

- Full strip out
- Decoration
- Supply and fit new cubicles
- supply and fit new flooring throughout
- Electrical upgrades and installation
- New lighting
- Sanitaryware and plumbing works
- Heating & Ventilation
Due to the clients wish to phase the works, the programme was extended from 10 to 16 weeks.
