This project comprised of a full refurbishment scheme to the main boy’s and girl’s toilet areas within the school. As the school would only be vacant for the 6 week summer holidays it was vital that all trades committed to and completed works on programme.
Prior to the works commencing, the client requested that Link value engineer the scheme to look for potential cost savings whilst not sacrificing on quality. As a company we identified areas which we could source alternative products that would assist with our client’s budget and enable the works to proceed.
The full extent of the works as below;
- Isolate existing services and strip out existing toilet area including toilets, wash hand basins, cubicles, doors etc.
- Existing vinyl sheet flooring to be removed.
- Existing suspended ceilings to be removed and new installed.
- New LED lighting fitted.
- Supply and lay new floor finishes, Whiterock to walls and decoration.
- Supply and fit new toilet cubicles and vanity units.
- Supply and fit toilets (12nr) and wash troughs (4nr).
- Supply and fit toilet roll holders and soap dispensers.
- Supply and fit safety mirrors.
- Supply and fit new hand dryers.
- Supply and fit new extract fans.
- All existing services to modified to suit new installs.
The scheme was completed on time and on budget.
